My name is William Kennedy (center in photo) and I am the Executive Director at the Center for Independent Living<http://www.cilncf.org/>. Attached is the last picture taken with Peg late last year. I have been fortunate to know and love Peg for more than 20 years now. She was my friend and mentor and worked with me assisting others with disabilities wanting to increase their own levels of independence and quality of life.

In telling my staff of her passing I said "We have lost our dear friend Peg Libertus.  Peg was a CIL Board member and volunteer for a number of years.  Most recently she had done our newsletters. Peg lived a life exemplary of those things represented in the disability rights movement and Independent Living Philosophy. She fought for her rights as a person with a disability long before any law said she had any.”
